A perfectly ordinary restaurant

Much of what we serve comes from producers close to us that we know and like, some comes from our own orchard and gardens in Axelstorp outside of Båstad.

The very best dill one can grow is a variety that is simply called ”Vanlig” or ordinary in Swedish. A fine harvest of leaves, just enough flowers that ripen at just the right time to perfume your yearly crayfish boil with precisely the right aroma. ”Vanlig” is in no way anything more than any other variety of dill, not greener, not more aromatic, and it doesnt have a cool shape to its leaves or a distinctly special appearance of its flowers, it is just ordinary, but good. And year after year ”Vanlig” delivers without much fanfar and without requiring much adaption to its place of growth, exactly what that place and those who live there need.

That is sort of how we see this restaurant, ordinary, in the best possible way and fully integrated in its local community.

We serve breakfast both for those who stay at the inn and for those who does not. If you are not staying with us you can make a reservation or siply drop by and ask if there is a spot for you.

Lunch 11:30-14

On weekday lunches we offer one single dish that changes every day. This dish is served in a simple and fast manner and the price is always 195SEK. We do not accept reservations for weekday lunches and there is no ala carte menu to choose from. Aside of the daily lunch dish we always offer vegetable soup, pies and sandwiches from the bakery.

Dinner

In the evening you choose what to eat from our a la carte meny. Its a good idea to book a table in advance but perfectly fine to drop by too and ask for a spot too. You are welcome here both to enjoy a single to dish when you dont feel like cooking at home or for a bigger meal. In the restaurant we welcome companies up to 8 people. If you want to come here with a bigger group there are other options, for example our private dining room seating 16.
